Result of job interview and my trip to Reno

I made it to Reno faster than I expected and am glad I left later than I had been planning since I ended seeing Jen driving home and got in behind her and followed her partway through town to her home. Helped me not to miss a turn :).
I had my interview the next day. It started with a math quiz consisting of two questions. One – if each thing weighs a certain amount how many do you need to make a total weight of ##lbs. Wasn’t bad at all – the second was a bit more complicated – to variables but I was able to get the right answer at least :). The actual interview was a bit nerve racking at first but then not that bad… and ended up talking to a second person – a head person, who from what I could tell, would be the person I’d work under if I was to get the job. They showed me around the lab – it’s a cool lab. One of many cool things is that they buy pre-made polyacrylamide gels. That’s just spiffy in my opinion. So all in all the interview went well – will just have to wait and see if they like me enough for another one.
Fun things in Reno – met friends of friends – had fun playing games. Went geochaching for the first time. I now want to do more – some one want to buy me a gps and whatever else I might need? Went with Jen to Circus Circus and we won enough tickets with two quarters to get a fish magnet for Keith. Watched two acts – one a motor cycle act where they drive around in a round metal cage and can go upside down. It was COOL. Then there was a dog act it was cute and funny – should say the dogs were cute not the guy that trained the dogs. Ended up staying longer than I had originally planned but I’m not complaining – good to see friends ;) just hope if I need a place to stay again they won’t say no cause I might never leave.

you can stay again... we'll just charge you: remove one strip of pink wall paper for every week you stay =).

Woo hoo. What happens when I run out of wall paper?

OOO I didn't mention anything about the giant claw games. - They have claw games that you try to pick up tows but in the casino they had a giant one that had giant sponge bob's and big birds. It was cool - one guy kept trying and a person of authority (they had a key) kept trying to resituate the toy so the guy could try to get it. We watched a few tries but left. So who knows if he ended up getting it or not.

If Sarah should happen to go back and read this...
I was amused today - my mom said she was talking to my aunt and uncle (via icq) and they asked if I had been looking for a job in Boise area too :). Even gave a web address for job listings - didn't see any bio jobs though.
